When the Russian people come abroad they are often asked the question: “Where are you from?”. Receiving the answer “From Russia”the foreigner is singing “My Kalinka, Malinka”. There is such an association this melody with our country.
And here a small restaurant “Kalinka-malinka”

is situated in two steps of Hevsky prospect, near the Grand Hotel Europe in the historical center of Saint-Petersburg. Could the foreign guests not to come here! After the first visit the guests leave the place with the feeling of deep satisfaction.

You are letting down in an ordinary semi-cellar in the Arts Square and you are in the tale corner: the village log cabin, two small halls, bear and wolf skins on the walls,

	And real Russian food. The Russian people always have hospitality and the food is very important characteristic of the national culture. It’s very difficult for the Kalinka-Malinka to show and declare about itself because there are a lot of different cuisine in Russia.

But in spite of the fact that our small restaurant doesn’t exist for 3 years we don’t exaggerate that you can see the geography of the world by the written references of our visitors. “It’s a great pleasure to visit your restaurant with the guests of foreign countries”, wrote the scientist of the Saint-Petersburg University in the Book of Reference.

	In spite of our youth we became the Prize-winner of the First All-Russian Congress of the restaurants in 2000, we are awarded the Golden Crane Prize in the title “For the High Professional preparation of the Staff”. Our Chief, Maxim Babich, made a great impression on the judge and the spectacles by his firm dish The Peter’s galleries.
	On the week-days the dishes in the Kalinka-Malinka are cheap and tasty. Cabbage -soup, borsch and fish-soup in the earthen and banquet dishes on the wooden plates are on the table. Herring in sheepskin coat,

salads the Golden Fish, the Village, the Camomile, appetizer Kupecheskaya, the Tsar’s rolls, pike-perch, sturgeon and all kinds of meat are at your disposal. And what about the firm dish such as the Salmon in Nuts or a pork the Landlord’s Dream! Many Old Russian dishes are restored to life here.

	Among spirits the firm Kalinka-Malinka vodka is popular here.
